We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in Copper Peak’s journey towards becoming the world’s premier ski jumping destination. On September 3rd, 2024, at 2:00 PM CT, Copper Peak hosted a contract signing ceremony at the Copper Peak Chalet, officially launching Phase 1 of our renovation project.

This momentous occasion represents years of dedication from our volunteer-led initiative and marks a crucial step in bringing international ski jumping, among other events, back to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

The contract was signed with Engineering & Construction Innovations, Inc., initiating the first phase of our $20 million project, generously funded by the State of Michigan through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021.

Additional funding will be needed to complete all phases, if you’re interested in learning more, please reach out to us at press@copperpeak.com

The contract signing was attended by Michigan Senator Ed McBroom, State Representative, Greg Markkanen, and Sandro Pertile, Director of Ski Jumping for the International Ski & Snowboard Federation (FIS), among others.

Stay tuned for more updates as we transform Copper Peak into a world-class, year-round ski jumping destination, poised to attract visitors and athletes from across the globe.
